Meet Coach Derrick (BS, MBA, CPCC)
Coach Derrick is originally from NY. He grew up in the NY Metro area and has lived in Atlanta for the last 20 years. He is proud of his Caribbean heritage and and believes that the principals taught to him early, by his parents are an important part of who he is today. His brother introduced him to Christ during his early years and his faith has continued to play an important role in his life. Derrick has a young adult son who resides in Georgia. Derrick graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in Marketing. He later obtained an MBA from Fordham University in Information Management. He takes coaching seriously and completed a rigorous Certification Program with the Co-Active Training Institute an earned his credentials as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). This program is accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
Professionally, Derrick has had the pleasure of working for companies such as IBM, AT&T,& MCI (now Verizon). Most recently Derrick was Vice President of Travel and Lifestyle Services for American Express & General Manager of Online Digital Strategy & Service for The Home Depot.
Derrick has been in leadership for most of his career. He has led teams across the United States with as many as 4000 employees. He is known for taking risks and focusing on the development of his teams. As a leader Derrick has always been focused on coaching. He believes that leaders who coach demonstrate a unique ability to help individuals see there full potential.
While Derrick has enjoyed his successful corporate career he has found his personal passion and excitement working individuals and companies that are interested in using coaching to unlock their potential. Coach Derrick focuses on the WHOLE PERSON to help them realize that more is possible. In our busy lives work and personal issues are all intertwined and focusing on the whole person is path to success.
